Weyt-k! Hello!
My name is Nicole ( she/her ) I am a queer femme, white settler and an uninvited guest living on the traditional unceded lands of the Tk’emlúps te Secwe̓pemc peoples. ( also known as Kamloops) I have a strong passion for equity and inclusion and do my best to bring this lens in all of my work. I’ve been a stylist for 22 years so you could say that people are my jam! I recently graduated from Thompson Rivers University with a sociology degree with the goal of completing a masters in counselling.
Bonjour!
August Waite (they/them)
Clinic Manager
I’m a queer, trans, and non-binary human who is passionate about the field of counselling and mental health care accessibility. When I’m not working with the team at Our Landing Place, I divide my time between my graduate studies in counselling psychology, community organizing, and running trans and queer pop-up barbershops where I get to put my prior career as a barber to use.
I’m a white settler of western European ancestry. I am grateful to live on Vancouver Island in Victoria, B.C., on the unceded territories of the lək̓ʷəŋən and W̲SÁNEĆ People, including the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations, where I love to grow food, write poetry, explore beaches, and hike with my partner and dog.
Charles Last (they/them)
Clinic Administrator
I’m a queer, trans and non-binary white settler and witch with chronic pain and diverse interests. I am currently living as an uninvited guest on the lands of the Haudenosaunee, Anishnaabe, and Huron-Wendat communities. I strive to care for and steward this as an ongoing relationship.
I offer what skills I have to communities dedicated to decolonizing, fighting oppression, and building sustainable networks of care. I have two dogs, several thousand bees, and a wonderful partner and community of human friends. I like baking bread, reading tarot cards and fantasy novels, and walking deep into the woods both literally and conversationally.
Want to join our team?
Our team is complete and we are not currently inviting new associates to join us.
