Dolcee Chauhan

Hi, I'm Dolcee (she/her).

Areas of Focus

My favourite areas to support clients in are:

  • Neurodivergence (ADHD and autism)

  • Self-esteem, perfectionism and shame

  • Cultural identity and intersectionality

  • Burnout, stress, and workplace overwhelm

  • Chronic illness and disability

  • Sexuality, desire, and kink

  • I’m a queer, neurodivergent cis South Asian woman living and working in Toronto, on the traditional territory of many Nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. I recently completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with The College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO).

I worked in People & Culture for more than a decade, where I gained a deep appreciation for how people navigate change, conflict, uncertainty, and burnout. I also spent time volunteering on a crisis helpline, supporting callers through difficult moments.

Growing up neurodivergent and navigating multiple identities gave me an early curiosity about people, relationships, and the ways we make sense of ourselves. Those experiences are part of what drew me to this work and continue to shape how I show up with clients: warmly, collaboratively, and with care.

Outside of sessions, I recharge through movement, creativity, and whatever hobby has my attention that week. I’m often rotating between things like crocheting, sewing, reading, yoga, live music, creative projects, and trying new food spots around the city. I also love a good fantasy world and spending time with my cat, and loved ones.

  • My approach to therapy is collaborative, client-centred, and integrative. I draw from approaches including ACT, IFS, Somatic Experiencing, and DBT-informed practices, depending on your needs and goals.

I believe therapy involves both the mind and body. Together, we might explore patterns, emotions, relationships, nervous system responses, and the parts of you that have learned to adapt or protect over time. I try to balance reflection with practical support. Sessions with me are warm, grounded, and nonjudgmental, with space for honesty, uncertainty, humour, and complexity.

My work is trauma-informed, intersectional, and grounded in cultural humility. I aim to create a space that is affirming, anti-oppressive, and welcoming of your full self and lived experience.
