Jade Giff

Hi, I’m Jade (she/they)

I am a cisgender, queer, neurodivergent, Black counsellor. I work and reside on the traditional territory of the Anishinabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Ojibway/Chippewa peoples, also known as the Greater Toronto Area.

I recently completed my Masters in Counselling Psychology, fulfilling my practicum internship hours at Our Landing Place, and have received my designation as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying).

I centre my counselling approach in affirmation, harm reduction, and trauma-informed care with a strengths-based focus. I aim to provide a safe, validating, and open therapeutic environment where clients can feel comfortable engaging and sharing their concerns, life changes, etc.

In my personal life I enjoy ‘nerdy’ activities (D&D, MTG, etc.), spending time with my partner, loved ones, and pets, and exploring my city. I love and greatly appreciate events and celebrations aimed towards 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

My areas of focus include:

· Ethical Non-Monogamy and non-traditional relationship dynamics

· Exploring intimacy (sexual and non-sexual)

· Communication and interpersonal skills

· Intersectionality (i.e., intersections between race, gender, and sexuality)

· Neurodiversity (ADHD, autism)

If you would like to see if we would be a good fit to work together, I invite you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation.

Session Fee: $100 per 50-minute session (plus applicable tax). Limited sliding scale may be available.
