A unique consultation opportunity for 2SQTIBPOC therapists to receive clinical support and build community in a small cohort.
UPCOMING SESSION: Starts January 27, 2026
Limited Spots Available
If you’re looking for a brave and supportive space to gather, learn, and build solidarity with other Two-Spirit, queer and trans therapists of colour, this consultation group might be a place where you belong.
Join Shadi K for small-group consultation every four weeks, where we can bring cases, but
also talk about how the work, and the world at large, impact us as queer racialized professionals.
Shadi specializes in relational and societal trauma, bringing compassion and an intersectional lens to their understanding of human struggles. They primarily practice Somatic Transformation and are trained in EMDR. Their work is also informed by Response-Based Practice, which was developed within anti-violence work, and focuses on dignity. This offering is designed for a small cohort with no more than 8 people so that you can build meaningful relationships with one another; there is also access to a private chat group so you can remain connected between sessions.
Each session is 2 hours long and takes place on Zoom. The cohort is open to clinicians in any location and with any credentials. Please have at least 1 year of post-graduate experience working in the field.
Should you desire individual or dyadic supervision with me outside of the group sessions, these are available to you at a significantly reduced rate throughout your time in the program.
Schedule
Group calls run from 5 – 7 pm ET (2 – 4 pm PT) every fourth week:
Tuesday January 27th
Tuesday February 24th
Tuesday March 24th
Tuesday April 21st
Tuesday May 19th
Tuesday June 16th
*NB should there be enough interest for a second cohort, there will be another series of dates offered (exact days and times tbd). If you are interesting in joining this cohort but cannot make these dates work, please submit an application and include that in there so I can add you to the waitlist for a different cohort. It will be helpful to know what days and times you would prefer.
Requirements and Logistics
This consultation group is designed for clinicians of all backgrounds and levels of
experience, as long as you have a minimum of 1 year post-graduate experience working
in the field. You are not required to be working with any specific demographics or using
any particular modalities.
All sessions take place via Zoom, and you are encouraged to keep your camera on for the duration of each call (exceptions for short breaks or accessibility needs). This helps us to foster a sense of safety, community and connection. We start on time, so please arrive a few minutes early to ensure we can all begin together.
You will have access to a private chat channel where you can share resources, ask questions, request referrals, and grow connections with one another. There is no minimum interaction requirement for this. However, it is a great way to increase our sense of collective belonging, and you are welcome to be as active as you are comfortable and able to be.
This is not a drop-in style group. Unexpected or unavoidable absences are understandable, but you should sign up with the intention of attending all sessions. Additionally, our sessions will not be recorded, so there is no option to catch up should you miss a month.
Pricing
A core component of this group is the commitment to your own growth and to being in community with one another. This is reflected in the pricing policies. In signing up for this group, you are committing to pay for all 6 sessions, whether or not you can attend them all.
The fee is offered on a scale, and I invite you to select an amount within that which feels aligned and accessible for you. It can sometimes be tough to figure out where to land, so I encourage you to consider how much you charge for your full-fee clients, how much of your caseload is sliding scale, your personal financial situation (housing, costs of living etc.), and your own intersections of privilege and marginalization. The rate you choose should not put you in financial hardship and, at the same time, should honour the experience you will receive through the group. The rate you select will not impact your acceptance into the progam, as you will determine this rate after you have been accepted.
Fee Scale: $600-960 CAD
(This fee scale is for the entire program, and works out to a range of $50-80 per hour. Fees are tax exempt.)
Upon acceptance to the program, you will select one of two payment options:
Option 1: Payment in Full
Due upon acceptance
Option 2: Monthly Payments
$200 deposit due upon acceptance followed by equal payments of the balance due on the 1st of each month for 3 months starting March 2026.
Payments can be made via e-transfer or credit card. If you sign up for monthly payments, you will be required to keep a valid credit card on file even if you choose to pay via e-transfer. Receipts will always be provided.
Refund Policy: Until January 12th 2026, a full refund minus the $250 deposit. After January 12th 2026, no refunds. Registration is transferrable before February 5th subject to a $75 administrative fee.
Should you desire individual or dyadic supervision with me at any point during the program, you can access supervision sessions at a reduced rate for program participants only. Individual sessions are $175 and dyadic are $105 per person.
(Prices are in CAD)
How to Register
This consult group is designed to provide space for you to learn, grow, feel challenged and supported, and co-create a community of like-minded therapists. To this end, it’s vital that the cohort not be too big, which is why I’m limiting each cohort to 8 people. Due to the limited capacity of the program and the need for group cohesion, I’m inviting interested individuals to submit an expression of interest using the form below. You’ll hear back from me shortly after you submit the form. Once you’re accepted, you’ll select a fee amount and payment option that works best for you and away we go!
