I am a queer, gender apathetic, neurodivergent, parent. I live, work, and play on the Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded lands of the Mi’kmaq people colonially known as Nova Scotia.
My hobbies include gardening, reading, hanging out with my two children, two cats, and our bunny. Outside of my role as a counselling therapist, I enjoy volunteering locally in my community. I help run a community garden in my neighborhood and enjoy planning events in our local ENM/Kink scene.
I became a therapist because as a child I was interested in understanding why people behaved in certain ways, I questioned (and still do) many of the un-written societal expectations that people adhere to; it is no surprise that I learned later, my brain works differently, I have always been Neurodivergent, though I didn't know as a child. As an adult, this interest turned into studying psychology, leading to my love for helping people through their journey. As a university student, I became involved in mentoring programs and discovered my desire to work in the helping profession. I decided to pursue counselling therapy, it is a great honour and privilege to be present with clients throughout their mental health journey.

I have an eclectic approach to therapy, I am trained in many therapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Parts Work, Attachment-Based, and Relationship Therapy (Developmental Model & Gottman). I am currently interested in and am pursuing training in Nature-Based Therapy.
I utilize skills from these modalities differently depending on your needs and goals. In early sessions, we will collaborate on your specific treatment plan. I do not use a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment. You bring all the knowledge and experience of being you to our sessions, I bring therapeutic knowledge and experience; together, we will create a tailored treatment plan to address your specific needs.
I offer free 15-minute consultations so we can meet to see if we would be a good fit for working together.
